Football Premier League Monopoly
Apparantly this Sunday is the biggest weekend in the Premiership Football (Soccer) League ever with both Manchester clubs tied for the Title. (I don't follow football, I am a baseball fan).
Winning Moves U.K. have already produced a version of Monopoly for both Clubs.

Launch date changed
Tomorrow (10th May) was supposed to be the launch of the next version of Monopoly to be produced this year by Winning Moves U.K.
The launch will be in approximately two weeks time, and when I have confirmation of the date, I will let you know on here, the World of Monopoly Facebook Page and on Twitter.
I have also been informed by Winning Moves UK of some more Monopoly news in the next few weeks. Stay tuned.

World Exclusive Interview and Information
A major update following on from the news from Facebook Monopoly about creating a custom game earlier this week.
First of all there is an exclusive interview with with Peter Griffin the new Development Director at Winning Moves Custom Games. He talks about his role, restrictions in the customisation of a corporate game, different versions already made, and how to go about contacting Winning Moves for developing your own version. Read his exclusive interview here.

Forbes and Mr. Monopoly

Nearly every year, Forbes magazine likes to take a look at the richest fictional characters and rank them according to their fictional wealth. This year, Mr. MONOPOLY makes the list in the number 10 spot. Coming in at number 1 is Smaug from The Lord of the Rings.

Non Board Game Versions of Monopoly
Could you name all the versions of Monopoly which are not the traditional board game?
Nor me! With versions for the Wii, Kindle, Xbox 360, Android, the list goes on... but they are all made by Electronic Arts and they have set up one page which links to them all here.

On Twitter, Yahoo Search Data today posted what traditional board game was searched for most on Yahoo!
Well, Scrabble is No. 1 and Monopoly came No. 2. Surely Monopoly could become No. 1 this year.

WORLD EXCLUSIVE - Fifth U. K. Board Announced
Announced today, a world exclusive to World of Monopoly. To commemmorate the release of the 23rd Official James Bond film (Skyfall) later this year Winning Moves U. K. are to release a James Bond version of Monopoly for the United Kingdom. They released one for the European market just over a year ago and there has been a version made by USAopoly for the American market, but this is the first version for the United Kingdom. Olympic Games 2012 Monopoly Games
In preperation of the Olympic Games being held in London later this year, Winning Moves U. K. have released two (was going to be three) versions of Monopoly based on these Games.
The first version is a general Olympic Games 2012 version and details about it can be seen here.
The other version is a Team GB version with the properties based on the amount of medals, particularly Gold, that both the GN Olympic and Paralympic Teams brought back from the Olympics held in Beijing in 2008. You can see information on this version here.
